Yes simply just plug in the Nunchuck to the Wiimote and you can use the joystick on the Nunchuck to control the robot.

The relevant of part of the code is here: https://github.com/TKJElectronics/Balanduino/blob/master/Firmware/Balanduino/Bluetooth.ino#L90-L91 and here: https://github.com/TKJElectronics/Balanduino/blob/master/Firmware/Balanduino/Bluetooth.ino#L406-L415.

You need to pair with the Wiimote first.

The easiest approach is just to open up the Arduino serial monitor and send "CPW;". This will then start looking for the Wiimote. After that simply press on 1+2 down on the Wiimote and it should set it into discoverable mode.
The Balanduino should now automatically connect with the Wiimote.

This can also be done using the Android app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.tkjelectronics.balanduino or the Processing app: https://github.com/TKJElectronics/BalanduinoProcessingApp which run on Windows, Linux and Mac. After you have connected simply press on the button labeled "Pair with Wiimote".

Questions / Re: ps3 controller

Hi Fred,

It's good to hear that you and your students enjoy the Balanduino :)

Are you able to compile the code? Please follow these instructions: http://balanduino.net/get-started.
After that you need to enable debugging in the USB Host library: https://github.com/felis/USB_Host_Shield_2.0#enable-debugging.
This will allow me to see what is going on.

Hmm it sounds strange that they already start to come off.
Mine did actually start to come of, but I have also developed on it for a very long time!

I simply used some Loctite on the hub screws and they haven't come off since then :)

Thanks. Unfortunately it doesn't help much, but we will try to see if it's a general problem with the dongles.

No problem :)

Btw I have moved the VBAT define to Balanduiono.h, as it just confuses people: https://github.com/TKJElectronics/Balanduino/commit/e1fd94077a964f17400ab3a48a98c714d9f1ab43.

There is no need to modify the code!
You have simply not selected the Balanduino board in the drop-downmenu, as indicated on the picture on this page: http://balanduino.net/get-started.

Anyway good to hear you got it working!

I believe we posted at the same time, so maybe you haven't seen my response.
You should see the following section of the USB Host library: https://github.com/felis/USB_Host_Shield_2.0#ps3-library.

Btw I have written a Wiki article about the PS3 controller. It is available at the following link: https://github.com/felis/USB_Host_Shield_2.0/wiki/PS3-Information.

Thank you for your feedback - you are absolutely right. It looks like we forgot to tell that you need install the FTDI drivers as well: http://www.ftdichip.com/Drivers/VCP.htm.
I have updated the getting started page: http://balanduino.net/get-started. Please see the section "Connection and upload" for instructions.

To pair with the PS3 controller please follow the instructions here: https://github.com/felis/USB_Host_Shield_2.0#ps3-library.

Good to hear you got it working.
The .exe file should be from a release build, but yes the default build type is debug if you build it from source.
Thank you!

Could you try to download Visual Studio and see if it works if you compile the code yourself?

Hi everybody,

This is the first post on our new forum intended for the community of the Balanduino.

This is just an example of how easily it is to include a Youtube video. Simply just parse in the url:
